Hong Shen is Professor (Chair) of Computer Science in the School of Computer Science, University of Adelaide. He received his B.Eng. degree from Beijing University of Science and Technology, M.Eng. degree from University of Science and Technology of China, Ph.Lic. and Ph.D. degrees from Abo Akademi University, Finland, all in Computer Science. He has extensive academic experiences internationally including 9 years service at Griffith University (Australia) from Lecturer to Professor and 5 years service at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) as Professor and Chair of the Computer Networks Laboratory. He is also a specially-appointed professor in University of Science and Techonlogy of China and guest professor in Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
